Product Safety & Care
Popsy is built for repeated daily use. A few simple habits keep it safe and performing at its best.
Using Popsy
Popsy is a handheld packaging opening aid designed to assist with opening compatible medication packaging and other compatible small healthcare packaging.
Use Popsy only for its intended purpose and follow the instructions provided with the product.
Piercing and Cutting Feature
Popsy contains a functional piercing and cutting feature.
Handle the product carefully. Keep fingers and other body parts away from the functional opening area during use.
Keep Popsy away from children.
Cleaning
Clean Popsy according to the instructions supplied with the product.
Between uses, wipe Popsy with isopropyl alcohol — an alcohol pad or disinfectant wipe works well — just like your stethoscope or penlight. It has no moving parts or seams that trap residue.
Healthcare Environments
Healthcare professionals should follow all applicable employer, facility, infection prevention, medication handling, and equipment policies.
Popsy should not be used in any environment where its use is prohibited by facility policy.
Please don't use Popsy in inpatient isolation rooms.
Inspection and Replacement
Inspect Popsy periodically for damage or excessive wear.
Stop using the product if it becomes cracked, damaged, excessively worn, or otherwise appears unsafe.
With regular use, the sharp edge performs at its best for about 4 to 6 months; replace Popsy once it no longer performs as expected.
